Shirley Woodard Obituary

Shirley Bridgeman Woodard -JONES COUNTY - Shirley Bridgeman Woodard, 71, of Gray Highway, died Monday, January 21, 2008, in a local hospital. Family visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00pm, Wednesday at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, January 24, 2008, in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home, with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Macon. Rev. Johnny McGowan and Rev. Gary Lamb will officiate. -Mrs. Woodard, the daughter of the late Willie Hammond Bridgeman and Agnes Stowell Bridgeman, was born in Bibb County of February 24, 1936, and had lived in Jones County since 1963. She attended Miller High School and graduated from Dudley M. Hughes High School in Macon. Mrs. Woodard was a homemaker and was a member of Real Life Church in Macon. -Mrs. Woodard is survived by her husband: Joe Woodard of Jones County; sons and daughter-in-law: Ricky A. Woodard and Robbie J. and Christin Woodard, all of Jones County; sister and brother-in-law: Linda and H.W. Heath of Forsyth; granddaughter: Ashley Danielle Woodard; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. -In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 4406, Macon, Georgia 31208; or to Real Life Church, Post Office Box 13012, Macon, Georgia 31208. -The family may be contacted at the residence at 3187 Gray Highway in Jones County. -Please visit the online memorial at: www.bridgesfh.com. -Bridges Funeral Home in Gray has charge of arrangements.
