Steve Johnson Obituary

Steve W. Johnson -FORSYTH - Steve W. Johnson, 48, died Monday in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 1P.M. Friday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with the Rev. Wesley Johnson and the Rev. Alan Fennell officiating. Burial will be private. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Flowers, Jim Williams, Richard Watson, Corbett Tate and Jarrod "Pete" Kilgore. The family will meet friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home and asks that those who wish make memorial contributions to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, GA 31204. -Mr. Johnson was born in Rockingham, NC and attended Columbus Technical College and the University of Georgia. Living in Forsyth since 1981, he was President and co-owner of S & J Machine Shop, Inc. Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist Faith. -Survivors include his wife Harriette Deas Johnson of Forsyth; his parents, Jesse Willard and Martha Johnson of Charlotte, NC; his brother, Jesse Willard Johnson, Jr. (Claire) of Gainesville, FL; his sister, Judy Johnson Brown (Donny) of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews, Marty Brown McKee (Nick), Joseph D.
