Mr. Terry Jackson Williams
June 10, 1956 - January 9, 2016
Monticello, GA- A Celebration of Life for Mr. Terry Jackson Williams will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. James AME Church, 514 Funderburg Drive in Monticello, Georgia 31064. Public visitation on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 9:AM until 8:00 PM. Interment at Southview Cemetery. Terry was born on June 10, 1956 in Monticello, GA, to the late Bennie Sands and Mary Brannon Goolsby. He was later adopted and raised by the late David and Eliza Lou Williams of Monticello, GA.
Terry was educated in the Jasper County public school system, and graduated in 1974. After graduation, he worked at Dexter Axle in Monticello for over 20 years until his health started to decline. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Florence Little.
He leaves to mourn, his wife of 40 years, Gloria Williams; son Brandon Williams, both of Monticello, GA. Daughter, Keri (Terrence) Perrin of Augusta, GA. Sisters: Joann White of Covington, GA; Wyolene Dumas of Gray, GA; Sandra Alarcon, Bobbie Ruth Sands, Melinda McCoy, and Bridgette Lucky, all of Monticello, GA. Brothers: Marion Sands, and Tommy Sands, both of Monticello, GA. Aunts: Leona Simmons, Bronx, NY, and Shirley Brannon, of Monticello, GA. Uncle: David Sands, Fayetteville, NC. Sisters-in-law: Mamie Goolsby, Macon, GA; Janice Maddox, Mary Sue Carter, and Lucille Sands of Monticello, GA. Brother-in-law: Walter Carter, Monticello, GA. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
