Thomas Steverson Obituary

Thomas Earl Steverson -JACKSONVILLE - Thomas Earl Steverson, 66, of Jacksonville, GA, died Thursday, January 30, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2003, 3P.M. at Blockhouse Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Blockhouse Cemetery. -Mr. Steverson was born in Telfair County. He was a Deacon of Blockhouse Baptist Church, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer of Blockhouse Cemetery Fund and member of the Choir. He was retired from Delphi Corporation of Fitzgerald. He was the son of the late Walker Jackson and Mollie Mixon Steverson. -Survivors include his wife, June W. Steverson of Jacksonville; daughters: Rhonda Heath (Steve) of Lumber City and Sandra Greene (Tommy) of Wray; son, Tommy Steverson (Paula) of Rhine; six grandchildren: Danny Cravey, Jonathan Cravey, Angela Greene, Brad Steverson, Kristen Steverson and Brett Steverson; sisters; Virginia Burch of McRae, Lenora Briley of Smiths, AL, Faye Barfield of Phoenix City, AL; brothers; Rev. A.J. Steverson of Lake Wales, FL and several nieces and nephews. -Flowers are acceptable or Memorials to the Leukemia Society Georgia Chapter, 2625 Cumberland Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339. -Visitation will be from 6:00 until 9:00P.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2003 at Lowe's Funeral Home. -Lowe's Funeral Home of Helena in charge of arrangements.

Dear Mrs. June and family, My heart and prayers go out to you all. What a Great Man of God Mr. Tom was! You & Mr. Tom have always been such an inspiration to me and he will truly be missed. You both mean the world to me and have been a part of my family for such a long time and always will be. We love you so very much!

Dear June and Family,

Our hearts are so heavy with the loss of Tom. It was such a shock to us. He was so special to us and we will always cherish our friendship. We will always remember the good times we shared. Tom was a true friend to us and truly a man of God. He always shared his faith. Thank you for all that you have meant to us. You both have always been there for us and we will never forget you and the family. You will always hold a special place in our heart. and will continue to be a part of our family. We love you.
