Tommy Sikes Obituary
PERRY, GA- Thomas J. "Tommy" Sikes, Jr., 75 passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 11, 2018. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Burial with Military Honors will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to The Greater Things Campaign at Victory Sports, the recreational ministry at Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Tommy was the son of the late Thomas J. Sikes, Sr. and Neva E. Sikes and had lived in Perry since 1970. After proudly serving our country for four years in the United States Air Force, he worked at Blue Bird Body Company, Pabst Brewing Company, and retired from Boeing Company as an aircraft mechanic. He was a member at Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins where he was in the Joe Hill Sunday School Class.
Tommy was best known as a coach and umpire for Perry Junior League at Ochlahatchee Park in Perry, Victory Sports at Second Baptist Church where he was awarded the White Star Award, and the National and American Baseball Leagues in Warner Robins. He loved doing this for 30 years and enjoyed mentoring many young people through the years.
Left to cherish their memories with Tommy are his loving wife of 47 years, Gloria Nash Sikes; his sons, Ken Sikes of Perry, Rev. Jason Sikes (Kelli) of Kathleen, and Keith Maddox (Genie) of Perry; his siblings, Juanita Sanders of Perry, and Orene Luttrell (David) of Twiggs County; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Gloria and Family,
