Dearest Scott and Family,
God has taken a treasure to heaven. Vicki had become a dear friend. She was a wonderful teacher, loving mother, strong Christian, and a true friend. We had been planning a girl's night out. A time to get away and talk. I am sad that I will not have that time with her, but am glad that you all had it with her. I always enjoyed talking with Vicki. She trully shared her spirit with each and every one. She will be greatly missed, but also remembered in so many ways. She has left a legacy of unconditional love, faith, and kindness. I know that Macy's prayer is already true. I am confident that God has sent Vicki in angelic glory to look out for and guide you and your family. You will continue to be in my prayers.

Dear Scott & Children:
Even though I have not met you, I have had the pleasure of knowing your wife and mom when she was a child in Springfield, OH and later as a college student at Anderson.
Vicki's was one of the first smiling faces to welcome me to Anderson University after I transferred from Ohio State. I will never forget her willingness to go out of her way to introduce me to her friends and help me feel welcome. The Lord blessed many of us through Vicki.
May the God of all envelop you in His love, guide you with His wisdom, and protect you in His strength.

To Vicki's precious children,
I had the wonderful priviledge of growing up with your mom and your Aunt Karla. My sisters and I would play for hours with the Maddox girls. Vicki was always so kind and friendly and never treated me like a little kid. (I was a little younger than the rest of the girls.) Your Aunt Karla introduced me to my husband and almost 15 years later we gratefully are raising our two children. I am so sorry that your mom has died but so thankful that we can all be together again someday in Heaven with her and Jesus. I have not gotten to meet you personally but am praying for you every morning. You are in God's loving arms and many people who love you dearly. I hope someday that I can meet you and tell you wonderful stories about your mom. She was an amazing friend and touched so many people. You are truly loved and prayed for. Hold on to Jesus because he is holding on to you really tight!
Sincerely,
Leslie (Tunnell) Stone

Dear Scott,
As I sit here at my computer I cannot even think of the words to say. I just want you to know, you and the children are in my thoughts and prayers daily. Vicki was a wonderful person, so full of life, and love of teaching (adults and children)I believe Vicki's faith and love of God has taken her to a grand place where she will watch over you and the children and will wait to see you all again in some distant time. Wednesday morning, I saw the most GLORIOUS rays of sunshine in the sky. I couldn't help but to think about Vicki's homecoming. It is hardest on those of us left behind, but remember you have many prayers for you during this time and in the coming weeks and months.
God Bless,
Cathie

Dear Scott, Zack, Kiley, & Macy:
Vicki will be missed. She was an exceptional woman, but most of all, she was a wonderful Christian. Her encouraging words, her smile, her compassion and her love for her family and friends made a difference in my life. I cannot forget her…she will always live in my heart and I look forward to see her again. For a pastor’s wife there is nothing more encouraging than to see strong-faithful-dedicated people for Christ, and these words described how Vicki lived her life. She lives…in our hearts, minds, and most of all because HE lives....I will see her again. Like Donna says, "There is HOPE for tomorrow." I love you all so much. Prayers and love to you always. What a wonderful person who always showed a smile. She was a great friend who would go out of her way, no matter what else she may have had planned. Her personality was one that rubbed off on others around her. She was a giving person not only to her family and friends, but with her FAITH IN GOD.
Vicki was a role model that you would want to mold your own children around. I will miss her dearly. Mike McNeil
