Walter C. Cofield, Jr. -DUBLIN - GravesideServices for Walter C. Cofield, Jr., age 67, will be held at 11A.M. Saturday, November 17, 2007 inDublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. David Walker will be officiating. -Mr. Cofield, who died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, was born in Warthen, GA. He was the son of the late Walter C. Cofield and the late Ruby Brantley Cofield. Mr. Cofield was a US Marine Corps Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was former employee of J. P. Stevens, and was retired form Robins Air Force Base. He was preceded in death by his son Ricky Cofield. -Survivors include son, Tommy W. Cofield of Dublin; Ex Wife, Patsy W. Cofield of Dublin; sisters, Helen Brantley of Dublin and Martha Neville of Rayburn Gap, GA; several nieces and nephews ; mother-in-law, Vera Walker of Dublin; brother-in-law, David Walker of Warner Robins -Pallbearers will be Tyson Elrod, Steve Peters, Sandy Fordham, Dan Snipes, Brian Stokes and Tracy Yanken. - The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. -Visit www.townsendfuneralhome.com to sign the online memorial register. -Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.

He was a good man who loved others as well as his wife and son. He took me in and cared for me. He loved his dog Lassie. He will be missed.
