William "Bill" Granet, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in New York City on November 6, 1921 and later moved to Portland where he graduated from The University of Portland. He then received his Masters Degree in Mathematics from Columbia University in New York. After marrying his wife Mariette, they worked in various places including Boston, Stillwater, OK and Detroit, MI. He and Mariette settled in Kalamazoo where they lived for over 34 years. Bill enjoyed reading and thinking about physics. He was a good and moral person who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mariette; brother, Nicholas Granet; sister, Dorothy Pederson. He is survived by his loving sons, Bruce Granet of Massachusetts and Roger Granet of Columbus, OH. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Monday, August 20, 2012 at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo, MI. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N High St., Worthington, OH.
