William Abraham Khoury, Jr., of Forsyth, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022.
William was the son of the late William Abraham Khoury, Sr., and the late Fefie Smaha Khoury of Griffin, Georgia. William is survived by his wife of 55 years, Loraine Gloria Khoury (née Turner); their three sons; William, III (Sandee), Alex (Julie), and Chris. William was born on June 8, 1939 in Macon, Georgia. He graduated from Fort Valley High School and Auburn University, where he received a degree in business. William lived a meaningful life. While in college, he joined in one of The Selma Marches with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. After graduating from Auburn, William served in the United States Navy, where his ship participated in the Cuban blockade during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was active in the Fort Valley community for over fifty years, including serving as Chairman of the Fort Valley Merchants Association and leading the effort to establish Everett Square Veterans Memorial Park, until moving to Forsyth and retiring in 2012. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis, traveling, dancing, and good Lebanese food. Above all, he enjoyed sharing new experiences with his family and friends.

We just saw where mr William passed . He was the most humble person you could ever meet . Anybody that doesn't get I'll with a golf ball that doesn't act right is pretty humble . We played quite a few rounds together with the seniors and it was always a very quite round but you could tell by the smile on his face he really had fun . A giant of a man we will all miss . Thinking of the family !!

William was such a positive happy person. He liked to come to our house and surprise us and find us in a mess! I asked him why he didn’t give us a few minutes notice and he said, “That would take all the fun out of it!” You had to be ready to go if you were friends with him!
