William Nesbitt Obituary
Macon, GA- Funeral services for Reverend William Nesbitt, Sr. will be 12 Noon Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Lundy Chapel Baptist Church. Pastor Anthony Corbett will officiate, and Pastor Burnest Glover will be the Eulogist. Interment will follow in St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Carey, Ga. Reverend Nesbitt, 72, transitioned to be with the Lord on Monday, February 29, 2016.
Survivors includes his wife, Elaine Nesbitt; seventeen children; two sisters; two brothers; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family may be contacted at 3558 Mogul Road, Macon.
Jones Brothers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered "Peace be Thine". It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. What A Friend We Have In Jesus ! Rev. Nesbitt was truly a Friend to his fellow man. During my early ministry he blessed me in so many ways by allowing me the opportunity of Preaching at the Churches he pastored. He was indeed a man after God's own Heart. Sis. Nesbitt be strong in the Lord.

I pray God will give you the strength you need, remember the good times you shared. Time will heal all wounds I know because I lost my husband 7 years ago and it has been a long journey, but with the help of the Lord I'm getting stronger everyday. Rev Nesbitt was my pastor at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Juliette Ga. I'm glad I had a chance to talk with him and his wife in December at my cousin Wake not knowing that would be the last time I saw him alive.
