I became a part of the Simmons family more than sixty-one years ago when Hassie Lee Simmons and I were wed so I knew Willie from his teen years. Willie was one of the most humble persons that I have ever known, a real joy to be in his presence. It was sorrowful to hear of his passing and he will be profoundly missed, however I will hold dear the memories of those many occasions when we just sat together and talked, precious memories they are and I thank God for having known such a person as this.

Aunt and Cousins - stay in prayer - I know you have many years of fond memories that you will carry in your hearts. Uncle Willie loved his family.
My Mother's (Hassie Lee) health prevents her from being there - but know that she and my Dad(Walker Lee) are holding you all up in prayer.
