They were building Al’s home when we moved into our Waunakee home. Al was outside a lot with his two dogs. Our kids adored those dogs and Al was always extremely nice to them. Our kids remember him fondly, as do we. He was a great neighbor and we are sorry for your sudden loss. Wishing you strength during this difficult time. From the Hoffmaster family.

We are very saddened to your early passing, Alvin. You have been a good friend since 1988 when we first served as officers of Philippine Association of Madison and Neighboring Areas. Your work with PAMANA was so commendable. You were so dedicated to your work as proven with your loyalty, generosity and love to your countrymen. My husband and I are so grateful to have seen you and enjoy 2 days of your presence last June 2023. We wish you a true peace abd happiness to your journey now and we know that we will meet again in resurection. Bye for now, Alvin and long lasting memories.

I worked with Al at Emerson for many years, we were even roommates for a while. He was a good friend and always fun to talk to about anything. I lost touch with him after leaving Emerson, I am heartbroken to hear about his passing. We referred to him as AlG (pronounced like algae) partly because there were several people named Al that worked there, but also it fit him because he loved to go swimming. Back then if he wasn't at work you would find him at the pool. So many great memories and AlG stories...I will miss you my friend and sorry we didn't stay in touch.

I had the pleasure of knowing Al when we worked together for many years at Emerson. There were several guys named Al there, so we quickly referred to him as AlG (pronounced: algae). That nickname stuck, so that is how everyone knew him. He was well respected and well liked by all. Al and I quickly became good friends and spent a lot of time together. He and I were even roommates together for a year or so. He was hands-down one of the best persons that I have ever met. He was warm and generous and had an awesome and very quirky sense of humor. He was simply fun to be around. Whenever we were together there was always laughter and a mutual fond affection. Sadly, once Emerson shut down and we all went our separate ways, Al and I lost touch. I have thought about him often. Hearing of his passing has stunned me and now I miss my friend more than ever. My heartfelt condolences to Al's family and friends.
