Audrey Rear Obituary

Audrey Jean Rear

July 13, 1937 - August 15, 2025

BELLEVILLE - Audrey Jean Rear, 88, of rural Belleville passed away on August 15th, 2025 peacefully with her family by her side.

Audrey was born on July 13, 1937 in Verona to Arthur and Dorothea (Wild) Northwick. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Belleville and later to Basco where she formed many cherished friendships.

She graduated from Belleville High School in 1955. On May 3rd, 1958 she married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Rear. Her and Jerry had a wonderful marriage until he passed away in 2009. She would never miss an opportunity to remind people that they were both the Prom and Homecoming King and Queen. Together they farmed on the Rear family farm where she worked hard alongside her partner and best friend Jerry while raising 3 children, Van, Kent and Kari. They shared a wonderful marriage, now her and Jerry are together again.

Audrey was deeply dedicated to her family, her community, and her church. She volunteered for many events in the Belleville Community and enjoyed getting together with friends in her weekly bowling league. She was a very active member of the Primrose Lutheran Church, teaching Sunday School, being on the Church Circles and Ladies Aid groups. She would work helping prepare the Primrose Church Supper, spending countless hours at the stove making her delicious Norwegian Rosettes. She would never miss an event that her children or grandchildren were a part of. She also loved cheering on the Packers, Badgers and of course the St. Louis Cardinals.

Audrey is survived by her children Van (Kim) Rear, Kent (Marsha) Rear and Kari (David) Ace; eight grandchildren Jordan (Luis Miguel) Carrasco-Rear, Griffin (Carly) Rear, Quinn (Chris) MacMartin, Jared (Lexee) Rear, Karlyn (Tyler) VanDusen, Abbey Ace, Olivia (Brianna Schneeberger) Ace, and Andrew Ace. She treasured her five great-granddaughters, Crosby, Chloe, Leyton, Brynlee and Ellis, with a great-grandson on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry, 2 infant sons, sister Shirley Kelliher, step-brothers Kerm (Alice) Northwick, Ken (Ethel) Northwick, nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Agrace HospiceCare, Inc., especially Megan, Naomi and Hailey for their warm, compassionate care and helping the family keep Audrey at home for as long as possible.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the Primrose Lutheran Church, 8770 Ridge Dr., Belleville, WI. Burial will follow at the East Primrose Cemetery, rural Belleville, WI.

A visitation will precede the funeral service from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the Primrose Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc.
