David Alan Jensen

MADISON - David Alan Jensen, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at home. He was born on March 11, 1937, in Flushing, Mich., to parents Paul Jensen and Alice May Jensen.
David graduated from Flushing High School in 1955 and from Michigan State University College of Civil Engineering cum laude in 1959. He was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation from 1959-1997. David retired in 1997 after serving in several capacities including highway construction surveyor, highway designer and highway specifications engineer.
David served in Combat Support Company and 826 Ordnance Company, U.S. Army Reserve from 1961-1967, based in Madison. He married Virginia Lindeman of Beloit on March 12, 1962. They recently marked 61 happy years together.
David and Virginia have been active members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Madison since 1963. His passing leaves his wife, Virgina; sons, Paul R. Jensen of Madison and Jay A. (Kara) Jensen of Illinois; sister-in-law, Arleen Jensen of Verona; brother-in-law, Richard Lindeman of Beloit; several nieces and nephews and their families; and also his friends at McDonald's who turned his dull mornings into delightful days. "I'll miss you all, God bless you and farewell, as I begin my long journey home."
There will be no funeral at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
