Diana Krumenauer

Diana Krumenauer (nee Sugden) was born to eternal life on July 8, 2024, at the age of 70, after a brave two year battle with brain cancer.

Beloved wife of Neil for 45 years. Loving mother to Laura (Jeff). Cherished Grandma Dee Dee to Micah and Noah. Devoted daughter to Ralph and Mary; sister to Michael, Richard, and Janice (Charlie); sister-in-law to Jim, Judy (Greg), and Sue (John). Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Diana graduated from Sun Prairie High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Diana's life was all about service to others. She spent her career working as a special education teacher ensuring that students with disabilities would find a way to be successful. She and Neil were active parish members at their church St. Pius X.

Diana loved her family and friends. She enjoyed hosting gatherings in her home or chatting with a friend on the front porch. Her social calendar was full of activities with friends from all different stages of her life. She looked forward to planning family get togethers and always found opportunities to bring people together. Diana's grandsons, or her "sunshine boys," as she called them, brought her such immense joy.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at St. Pius X Church, 2506 Wauwatosa Ave, Wauwatosa, WI, at 11:00 a.m. Family will greet friends and relatives from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to thank the Froedtert Neuro Oncology team, specifically Dr. Jennifer Connelly, as well as the many friends who brought coffee, scones, cards and encouragement, and Cabby, who lovingly cared for Diana in her final weeks.
