He continued at MSU to receive an MBA in 1960, and a DBA in 1963. While working on his doctorate he met his future wife, Diane Davis. I am having trouble expressing my loss of Ernie. We grew up together in DeKalb and Rochelle. We played with each other and against each other until high school graduation. Then we were room mates at MSU for 4 years. I graduated a year after he did, and we kind of went ue separate ways. I did help marry him off.
My parents were frends of the Hansons at Northern Illinois College in the early 30's. He was as close to me as a brother. During the last few years we kept in touch and when I could not reach his home a few weeks ago, I knew this was it. He was the best and it was a privalidge to call him a friend for life.
PS: He was also a good basketball player. I played against him several times in high school, and lost.
Good by amego.

We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Ernest´s passing. I do remember spending time at Diane and Ernie´s home we would always have the most incredible meal as Aunt Diane was the most brilliant cook! Uncle Ernie was very quite but when he had something to say it was always enlightening and brilliant or very funny. I remember his smile the most it always seemed warm and welcoming. I know for certain they are together dancing and enjoying being together again. To my cousin Keith it is so hard to lose both parents so close to each other but I know they are watching over you closely and each time you think of them and the memories that are special to you they are giving you their angelic hug! Sent with much Love and find memories. Lynn Gruman
