Iris Krisch Obituary
Iris Krisch, age 77, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on July 11, 1948, in Dalton, Wisconsin. She lived a life defined by love for family, a spirit of adventure, and an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcome. She spent much of her life in McFarland, WI, raising her family. Upon retirement, she moved to Montello, WI, and later enjoyed time in Sebring, FL, embracing both the beauty of Wisconsin seasons and the warmth of Florida sunshine.
Selfless by nature and accepting of everyone she met, she had a gift for making people feel at home. She was the steady rock of her family, offering strength, laughter, and unconditional love through every stage of life.
She found joy in both adventure and creativity. Whether snowmobiling through crisp Wisconsin winters, tending to outdoor flower gardens, sewing thoughtful creations, or preserving family memories through scrapbooks, she poured her heart into the things and people she loved. She cherished travel, enjoyed sharing a good glass of wine, and was always happiest when surrounded by family.
Some of her most treasured moments were the simple ones, monthly family gatherings at Cooper's Hawk, parties on the patio, and sitting around the campground fire. Lara and Sasha, her beloved Boston Terriers, were never far from her side, bringing her constant companionship and joy.
Iris dedicated her entire professional career to Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI, as a financial analyst.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Schell (Barry), Dana Krisch (Paul), partner Gordon Rutkowski, grandchildren Brianna Peterson (Ken), Emma Hampton, Evan Schell, Anna Schell, Taylor Ludvik (fiancée Michaela), Brady Ludvik, two beautiful great-grandchildren, Abel and Easton, along with family and friends whose lives were made brighter by her kindness and unwavering love. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, and beloved husband of almost 50 years, Jerry Krisch.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
