John Kreuser
On March 12, 2024, John Kreuser, age 70, passed away from complications of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He passed away in his apartment at Capitol Lakes Independent Living in Madison, WI.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Colette (Shelton) of Mauston, WI; his parents, Ruth and Robert Kreuser of Muskego, WI; brother, Fred Kreuser of Delafield, WI; and brother-in-law, John White of Brookfield, WI.
Surviving John are family members: Michael (Gwen) Kreuser, Stephen Kreuser, Katherine (Doug) Lyman, Roberta (Todd) Cook, Peter (Tammy) Kreuser, and Christine White, and many friends. He was a favorite uncle to 28 nephews and nieces, and a role model to all. He was also a source of knowledge and wisdom for his friends and family members. John had a sharp mind, a sharp tongue and a witty and silly sense of humor.
John received a BS in Accounting from University of Whitewater and an MBA from University of Wisconsin, Madison - "Go Badgers."
Among many of his jobs were Allis Chalmers, Barron Company, Ford Motor Co. and American Family Insurance.
John loved the outdoors especially turkey hunting in Mauston and deer hunting and fishing in Bark Bay on Lake Superior, and fishing in Fort Myers, FL. John also loved to play golf at every opportunity with many friends and family members.
After Colette's passing, John developed a special relationship with Lorie Gedye which continued until the end of his life, she brightened John's every day.
While the end of life is sad, John had expressed his wishes for the end of his life. These wishes could not have been realized without the dedicated support and care provided by Agape Services- 24/7 caregiving, Agrace Hospice and Baird Financial Investment and Trust.
In addition, John's sister, Kathy, and friend, Lorie, provided John with extraordinary care and comfort in his last several years.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Park Hotel on the Square - 22 s Carroll St., Madison WI. A program will begin at 4:30 p.m. Refreshments and food will be part of the Celebration.
