Born in Hartford, WI - Joe lived every day with joy and gratitude and passed away suddenly on September 1st in Madison WI. He is survived by his spouse, Kathy Walter, children Tim Walter (Kadie Becker) and Katia Micka (John Micka), and granddaughter Daria Walter-Becker.

Joe and I hit it off during the festivities around his sister Kathie´s wedding to my brother, Mike. We never saw each other much after that, but when we did I always felt the kindness of Joe reach out to Jimmy and me. We will miss him.
