STOUGHTON - Judith M. "Judy" Igl, age 85, of Stoughton, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025. She was born on December 24, 1939, in Antigo, Wis., to Leo and Love (Preboski) Drabek. She attended Antigo High School and graduated in 1957.
After high school, Judy moved to Wausau, and on July 19, 1958, married her high school sweetheart, Arnold Igl. Although she worked various jobs, she was a very dedicated "stay-at-home mom" for her six children and a loving wife. Judy loved to travel, do cross stitch, solve crossword puzzles, play cards and bingo. She was a devout Catholic.
Judy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Arnold; children, Pamela Rowe, Susan (Michael) Streveler, Robert (Jodi) Igl and Leon (Kristy) Igl; son-in-law, Donald Dillman; siblings, Richard Drabek, Dennis Drabek and Eugene Drabek; in-laws, Jan Drabek, Harold Igl, Denise (Ron) Foreman and Ken (Jane) Igl; grandchildren, Emily (Shawn) McCabe, Amanda Igl, Sarah Lindsay, Michelle (John) Lindsay-Gefke, Benjamin Dillman and Brandon Dillman; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Love and Leo; daughters, Julie Igl and Margaret "Peggy" Dillman; son-in-law, Edward Rowe; siblings, James Drabek and Betty Johnson; in-laws, Rita and Harmon Fish, Delores and Ralph Boehm, and Francis, Lenore and Mary Igl; and various nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and also at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be gifted in Judy's name to Agrace HospiceCare or Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
