SAUK CITY/MADISON - Loretta M. Dooley, age 90, of Waunakee and formerly of Sauk City and Madison, passed away peacefully at Waunakee Valley Nursing Home on Monday, July 1, 2024.
She was born on January 1, 1934, to the late Adolph and Genevieve (McCarville) Roessler. She was united in marriage to Peter Dooley on April 28, 1973; he preceded her in death on November 16, 2013.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters and brother in-laws: Mary (John) Flauger, Joan (Rodney) Premo, Maxine (Del) Hambrecht, Mercedes (Hilary) Mack, Collett "Cork" Mabbott/McFarlane, Donna Faye (Sylvester) Statz, and Polly (Russ) Mallon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St., Aloysius Catholic Church, 115 Madison St., Sauk City. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.

We bought our home from Loretta and Peter in the 1990s. They were gracious and wonderful. We kept in touch through the years at Christmas. Loretta was a dear soul and I'll always think of her fondly.
