Paul Statz

Paul Statz, 72, passed away after a long illness on June 22, 2022. Paul was born on December 12, 1949, to Albert & Elizabeth Statz in Cross Plains, WI. Paul lived in the Waunakee area most of his life. He attended St. Francis Xavier Elementary School in Cross Plains. He graduated high school from Holy Name Seminary in 1968, where he excelled in track and competed at the state level.
Paul began working at Qual Line Fence, after which he proudly started Paul's RV Service where he serviced RVs in area campgrounds for over 35-years. Paul was the past president of the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs from 1990-1993 and spent many hours enjoying snowmobiling. Paul was also an avid Brewers, Packers, and Badger fan.
Paul is survived by sisters: Barb Endres, Maryellen MacLucas (Camille); brothers: Ray (Harriett), Ken (Alice), Joe (Kay), Mike (Gale), Elmer (Lisa), Mark (Wendy), Gregg; sisters-in-law: Vera Statz and Arlene Statz. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Betty; brothers: Harold, Donald, Richard, and Marvin; brother-in-law, Matt Endres; and sisters-in-law: Monica Statz-Hering, Joanie Statz and Maria Statz.
Visitation will be on June 30, 2022, at Winn-Cress Funeral Home in Waunakee, WI, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. A service will be held at 5:00 PM.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held immediately following the service at the Springfield Inn 6136 County Rd P Dane.
Special thanks to the staff at Sienna Crest in Marshall, WI. They made Paul feel at home and he had many friends there.
