Dick and I were best friends at Dartmouth sharing not only playing in musical organizations and as dedicated students in the Psychology Department, but in a large variety of sports and other activities. Later, he was instrumental in my getting into a postdoctoral in brain research at UCLA enabling me to add brain research along with my mathematical psychology career paths. I was just adding him to my dedication for a current writing project, and thought to look him up and learned of his recent death, which saddens me no end. I might add that his passion for sound systems also inspired me to get the best in my home. I visited him, staying at his home in Madison on several trips when lecturing or consulting at the university. I'll not forget you, my friend.
