Thomas Allen Peck
FLORENCE, AZ - Thomas (Tom) Allen Peck, 72, died at his home in Florence, AZ, on May 6, 2024, surrounded by the love of his wife and daughters and under the care of Hospice of the Valley.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Colonel Allen, and Lee Peck, and was raised near military bases in Georgia, PA, Germany, Hawaii and finally Madison, WI.
Tom was a 1969 graduate of Madison West High School as well as a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1974- Anthropology, 1976-Business). Tom was proud to be an Eagle Scout. Early in his career, Tom was employed by Methodist Hospital where he made many life-long friends (you know who you are)! Tom then continued his career for almost 30 years at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics where he was the Director of Environmental Services and won an award for the best Environmental Services department in the country.
Tom is survived by his wife of 24 years, Terri Peck; stepdaughter, Jill (Kyle) Sepesy of Medina, OH; ex-wife and mother of his daughters, Sherrie Volbrecht; daughter, Lisa Peck (Tony Blancas); grandson, Baylor Blancas, of Topeka, KS; daughter, Jessica Gundlach (David); granddaughter, Josephine Gundlach; and grandson, Crosby Gundlach, of Madison, WI.
Tom was an avid bowler as well as a golfer. In fact, Tom shot his best round of golf just two months ago at his home course in Arizona. He loved all things sports, especially Wisconsin Badger basketball and football and was fortunate to attend many bowl games. He also loved the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and Brewers. Tom loved to travel and was able to do so extensively during his retirement years.
Tom will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor as well as for being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

My dad was the best of the best. He worked hard and played hard. He was an incredible papa to my children. He was thoughtful, generous and had a laugh and smile that would light up a room. I will miss so many things about him, especially our long phone calls. He loved to share his golf scores and passion for equality and human rights. I will forever strive to be a daughter that he would be proud of. Until I see you again...
All my love.

It is with such sorrow that Tom has left this world. Tom was my husband for 20 years. We shared many happy times and were blessed with two beautiful daughters. Roger and I were so thankful that Tom and Terri continued to be our friends and, more importantly, family over the years. It is truly hard to believe that you are gone, Tom. Your battle with cancer was a long and courageous one that was so admirable. We love and miss you - Sherrie & Roger

In the 1970´s we bowled in the same league with Tom& Sherrie, in the 80´s I worked with Tom at Methodist and in the 2000´s I worked with Tom at UW Hospital. Tom was forever trying to clean up all the dust and mess the construction group made.
Tom was a great guy who cared about his profession and making the environment for patients, staff and visitors the best it could be.
You will be missed

I always enjoyed working with Tom at UW hospital. We were both on the Infection Control Committee keeping things neat and tidy! He was a neighbor to my parents. Always a great guy who will be missed.
