Timothy Olson Obituary
Timothy Scott Olson
April 23, 1972 - October 22, 2024
Scott passed away surrounded by family and friends at Meriter Hospital on October 22, 2024. Our family was not expecting for Scott's life to be cut so short so soon. We are heartbroken by this loss, and he will be forever missed.
Scott was born to Timothy C. Olson and Sandra L. Hornback in Madison WI on April 23, 1972. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1990. Scott was a lifetime bowler, worked in the bowling industry for many years and loved his bowling community. More recently, he worked hard as a cable installer and enjoyed his work. Scott loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed watching sports including football, cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. But what Scott loved the most was spending quality time with his beautiful daughter BreeAnn. He was a proud father and would brag about BreeAnn to those he met or to anyone who would listen. Scott was the baby of our family, we enjoyed teasing him, reminding him that we always knew he was mom's favorite and that he was the sibling who got away with everything. We enjoyed the bantering during our family gatherings and rehashing who mowed the lawn more or who had pulled more dandelions to make our lawn perfect each summer. Scott was funny, loving, giving, stubborn, spirited, a friend for life, a wonderful father and a man who would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone who asked or needed help.
Scott is survived by his daughter, BreeAnn, father Tim (Alice), mother Sandy (Vern), brother Brett (Kris), sister Brenda (Rich), step sister, DeAnn, step brothers Shannon & Troy, nephews John, Jared and Paige and niece BreAnn, his very special cousin Kari, longtime family and special friend Michelle and brothers from another mother Mike and Terry.
Scott was unable to recover from his cardiac arrest, but was selfless, and gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Our family is so proud of Scott for giving his gifts to more than one family through his donations. A special thank you to the ICU team at Meriter Hospital. The nurses, doctors and other team members were kind, compassionate, patient, and loving to Scott and our entire family. The walk of honor was life changing and an amazing way to honor the gift of life. The honor walk impacted our family and friends in such a way that we will carry this special memory for our lifetimes.
There will be a celebration of life for Scott on Saturday, November 9 from 1-4 p.m. at Ten Pin Alley, 6285 Nesbitt Road, Fitchburg, WI. A special prayer and memories will be spoken at 2 p.m. A couple bowling lanes will be open if you have time to spare, you can step up to the approach to roll a strike in honor of Scott.
In lieu of flowers, an account is being established for his daughter BreeAnn. Gifts/donations can be made to "Scott Olson Memoiral Fund" W7898 Loveland Road, Poynette, WI 53955. You may also donate to the UW Organ and Tissue Organization.
We hope you have found peace, Scott, your spirit will be forever in our hearts. We love to you to the moon and back.
