DALLAS, OR - Alice J. Simcoe, 92, died at home in Dallas, Oregon, with her family beside her on Oct. 27, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Eva and Price Garlington of Bend, Oregon, and her brother, Norman Garlington, of Boise, Idaho.

Alice is survived by her husband of 61 years, Darrell C. Simcoe; her children: Linda Byler of Vancouver, Washington, Philip Michael Simcoe and wife, Janie of Tangent, Oregon, and DJ Simcoe and wife, Anne of Corvallis, Oregon; grandchildren: Didget, Maggie, Brittney, Aaron, Jeana, and Janel; great-grandchildren: Lindsey, Erick, Kellan, Emma Jane, Sky and Rhyler; great-great-grandchildren: Everly and Eyana; and nephew, Wayne Garlington and his wife, Treva.

Alice and Darrell were married for 61 years. They met in Buhl, Idaho. After living in several cities in Idaho they moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon, in 1968. Then in 1974 they moved to Dallas, where they have lived for 49 years.

Alice worked for many years in the home health care field. She loved to travel. She and Darrell would spend winters in Indio, California, and summers on the Oregon coast.

Alice will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
