Bob K. Carlton

MERIDIAN - Bob Carlton passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, after a short illness. Bob was born on June 26, 1931 in Shoshone, Idaho, to Jesse E. Carlton and Edythe B. Carlton. Bob spent his school years in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1949.
He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in March of 1950. After serving a year in Korea he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1954.
Bob worked for Meadow Gold/Idaho Creameries and married his first wife, Jeane Kline, in 1954. Bob and Jeane had a daughter, Barbara and a son, Roger. Bob later married Janet Nau and had a daughter, Linda in 1969.
He worked for Tradewell Stores in Bellevue, WA as a computer operator until they moved to Boise, Idaho in 1973. He then worked for Triangle Young Dairies followed by Associated Food Stores. He retired in 1993.
Bob especially enjoyed watching Boise State University football with Janet in their Alumni seats. They also spent many Spring and Summer months travelling to tropical destinations as well as many great spots in the States.
After retirement, they spent Fall and Winter months in Hawaii for a couple of years and then decided that Yuma, AZ was their destination of choice!
Bob is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters: Barbara Neiwert (Barry) of Bellevue, and Linda Bowery (Chuck) of Nampa, and son, Roger Carlton (Pam) of Nampa and their families. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Shirley Wall; brother, Dwayne Carlton and his first wife, Jeane Carlton as well as other extended family members.
