Bret Michael Black, 65, passed away on February 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Bret was born on August 3, 1960, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was raised in Eden and Hazelton, Idaho.
A proud Valley High School athlete, Bret played football, wrestling, and baseball and remained a lifelong sports fan, especially of the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed hunting and golf, but his greatest joy was time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Bret was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Leona Black; father-in-law, Ace Hansen; one niece; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cori Hansen Black; children, Jeremy (Heather) Black, Brady (Gina) Black, and Brandee (Ryan) Mandis; and his cherished grandchildren, Addilyn, Gannon, Acetyn, and Grayson (Jeremy and Heather), Cole and Cameron (Brady and Gina), and Kellen and Baylee (Brandee and Ryan). He is also survived by his brothers, Danny (Linda), Steven (Kathy), Brad (Rochelle), Craig (Mindy), and Tracy; sisters, Cheri (Ken) Rogers and Stacy (Jeff) Burnham; mother-in-law, Lois Hansen; brothers-in-law, Nick (Lois-Babe) Hansen and Randy (Kathy) Hansen.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 360 Main Event Center, 348 4th Ave S, Twin Falls. All who knew and loved Bret are welcome to attend.

What a kind, gentle, family-oriented, humorous, considerate man! Chris and I enjoyed working with and being around Bret and Cori. He and Cori have raised a wonderful, close-knit family who epitomize love. What a loss! Prayers for Cori and her children and grandchildren. May Bret's love be shared through stories and memories.
