Debra Paulette Barth

May 2, 1951 - Aug. 17, 2023

PLEASANT HILL, CA - The world was made a better place to be 72 years ago. A precious little life came into being on May 2, 1951. She was named Debra Paulette Clontz by her parents, Paul and Betty Clontz of Kimberly, Idaho.

She was their only fiery redhead of 3 daughters. Lighting up any room she entered and brightening the lives of all who were blessed to know and love her. Deb loved her family and friends deeply. She loved all creatures great and small as well, and growing up on Grandpa's ranch suited her just fine.

Deb attended school in Kimberly and was a member of the Class of 1969. She had many lifelong friendships from her school years.

She married Chris Barth and was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Heather and Kayla, the Loves of her life. She later divorced and became a single Mom.

Having relocated to California a few years earlier she would spend the rest of her life in the bay area of northern California.

Deb worked for Paine Weber in the early years where she met her life long cherished friend, Muriel Aiello. Life would later provide a second cherished friend, Therese Hall.

Deb found her Niche in Real Estate and Renovation. Deb won top agent award her first year in real estate as a single Mom. By the end of her career it was 100% referrals only. She worked for various agencies over a span of 40 years, most recently with Rossmoor Realty of Walnut Creek.

She never met a house she couldn't make beautiful and Mom's house was her favorite project. She was much loved by her clients and always considered them family.

Deb was a diligent student of Ancestry.com. She unearthed so many fascinating facts from the roots of our family tree. She shared this passion with a much loved cousin, Bryce Butler. I believe her nephew Tony Goss put it very well, "Aunt Deb had an amazing ability to make everyone feel special and noticed and loved. She was One of a Kind."

Deb joined the heavenly Angels on August 17, 2023, in the company of her daughter Heather and friends. To quote Heather, "Mom was a combination of pied piper and Mary Poppins. I know I won the lottery when it came to Moms and I was happy to share her with the world. Be KIND was her motto she truly lived by." Leaving us much, much too soon following a years-long, valiant fight with cancer.

Deb is survived by her beloved daughters, Heather (Matt) Valentine of La Pine, Oregon and Kayla Engel of Clovis, California; two cherished grandchildren, they were her world, Joshua Engel and Karma Engel; two sisters, Ginger McClure of San Jose, California and Penny Goss of New Plymouth, Idaho; a brother, Stenson Clontz of Twin Falls, Idaho. Several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. Her very beloved friends, Muriel Aiello and Therese Hall. Most of all by her beloved Kitties. Suki and Tipper who brought her so much Love and Joy. She rescued them and gave them a new life , they never forgot.

Please give in Deb's memory to your favorite animal charity.

No service is planned at her request. Every moment of every day we will Celebrate all the Strength, Beauty and Grace that Defined Her.

I´m so sorry for your loss and for such a late post. Debra was a wonderful woman. I was referred to her by my brother in law Chuck about 2 years ago. I needed help selling my 92 year old mother´s condo in Rossmoor. Chuck thought Debra would be a good fit for us and indeed she was. My mom and I immediately liked Debra. She was an amazing support to us and a total pro at what she does. We spoke a few times since moving my mom to assisted living. I was so sorry the hear the news of her passing. You were lucky daughters! My best,

Lisa Scoma

Deb was our realtor and was instrumental in helping us through the process. It was so easy to place our trust in Debra. She took care of every bump in the road. It was easy to be more than a client...she became a friend. I loved hearing the stories of her life. What always stood out was the endless love she had for her girls and for her grandchildren. She had an undying faith and was a stalwart workhorse. Debra embodied love. I loved her with all my heart and my memories will always bring me joy. It was a good day when we walked into a co-op at Rossmoor! Fondly, Kirt and Jo Simoncini

Dear Family, I am so sorry to know of Debbie's passing. Not only was Debbie a favorite cousin, but she was also a wonderful friend and pal. I have fond memories of the one week summers that I would spend in Kimberly with Grandpa and Grandma Butler. Debbie was certainly one of the highlights of those visits. She was so fun-loving, exciting, energetic, and adventuresome. Truly an unforgettable part of my life. Those you love will forever be in your heart. Debbie is one of those. God Bless.

Debra was a wonderful friend in my youth and early adulthood. While I lost track of her these last few years, I will always remember our years as classmates and our true friendship. My deepest sympathy to the families; the world lost a kind and beautiful person.

My mom DEBRA BARTH was the most important person to me in my world. Even though she was friends of many, most people never really knew her. That is a special gift she gave me and the deepest unbreakable bond mom and I had. She will be missed forever and I have lost a piece of my soul. Suki and Tipper are doing well in their new home Matt and I made for them in Oregon. Thank you for any story´s you may have of mom and post, for Kayla and I. You can also call me at 925-989-9076.
