Dixie Jean Kunz passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Alpine Manor in Kimberly, Idaho.
Dixie was born on June 17, 1937, in Picher, Oklahoma, to Frank Vanard and Faye Francis (Carnes) Skaggs.
Dixie was married twice. First to Thomas Carl Sartain. They had three children together; Frank (Butch), Shari, and Tamara. Dixie and Tom later divorced. She later married Larry Lynn Kunz. Larry had a son named Dallas who became Dixie's stepson.
Survivors include her two daughters Shari and Tamara; her three sisters Cheryl Skaggs, Viki Hansen and Mary Ann Brady; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; ex husbands; and her son Frank (Butch.)
The family would like to thank Elaine and her staff at Alpine Manor, the staff at Auburn Crest, and Avery and the staff at Wilks Funeral Home. Your care and compassion for Dixie and her family is and was amazing.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
