James Cutter Obituary

James Fred Cutter

December 7, 1948 - August 8, 2025

James Fred Cutter passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 78 with his wife, Jo Ann, by his side.

James was born in Hollywood, CA, and spent much of his life in the Central Valley region of California, with Stockton being their home for more than 31 years. James and Jo Ann have called Twin Falls, home for the past seven years. James married his high school sweetheart, Jo Ann Caffese, on June 11, 1967.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years. They navigated life together through thick and thin, better or worse. James was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather or "Papa." James and Jo Ann have two children, Aaron Cutter (Ashley) and Dawn Brunmeier (Randal). He has three grandchildren, Alyssa and Austin (Cutter) and Gianna (Brunmeier).

He is survived by his sister, Cathy Casey.

As a father he showed his children the value of honesty and dedication and supported them on their journey through life. From teaching them how to weld, sharing mechanic tips and tricks, or how to tow and back a horse trailer, he was always there. Kind words came freely, along with an open door to family and friends. James joined the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era and was deployed for over ywo years during his term of active duty. Those years had a profound impact on his life and served as a reminder of how truly precious life is. James was always a committed employee, spending time as a lineman for Continental Telephone and Telesis, honing his driving skills as a truck driver for Panella trucking, Reeve Trucking, and working as an owner-operator hauling various agricultural products. He spent his final driving years working for Ryder Logistics before retiring in 2015. Jim always had a love for classic cars and restored several over the years. His faith in Christ was demonstrated by his love and devotion to family and friends. It is a great blessing knowing that his soul is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and his mind and body are now at peace.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, 12:00 pm, at Snake River Canyon National Cemetery, 1585 E 4150 N, Buhl, ID 83316. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home Twin Falls, ID.
