JEROME - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023 at the age of 92 in Jerome, Idaho. Teresa was born in Terceira, Azores in 1931.

At the young age of 16 she married the love of her life, Frank B. Toste, and she pursued her new life in the United States.

She was a very hardworking woman who did everything she could to care for those she loved. Frank and Teresa had four beautiful children and she loved each and every one of them. Friends often thought their first names were "My" as she referred to them as "My Barbara", "My Frank", "My Mary Lou", and "My Susie". She had 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy. They all loved their Avó to the fullest!

Teresa was a kind, beautiful lady who enjoyed her time with family and friends. The joys of her life included traveling, camping with her family and cooking for loved ones. She loved to go to Bingo, often called the "Bingo Queen," and was a member of the Silver Sneakers at the Jerome Senior Center.

Teresa was a very active member at the St. Jerome Catholic Church where she volunteered for many years. She was active with the women of St. Jerome's CCW committee.

As a leader in the Portuguese community, the annual Festas meant a lot to her. Praying to her patron saints and cooking traditional Portuguese foods to perfection were some of her most cherished times. One of her proudest achievements was founding the "Festa de Nossa Senhora de Fatima" in Jerome.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank B. Toste; daughter-in-law, Linda Toste; son-in-law, John Avila; son-in-law, George Alves; grandson, Joey Rocha; son-in-law, Al Rocha; and her beautiful daughter, Barbara Rocha.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt "Thank You" to the staff at Creekside Care Center and the nurses and staff of Visions Hospice.

Mom, remember we will all be "Together Forever" as you have always wanted us to be.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, with a Rosary beginning at 10:00 am, Monday, November 13, 2023, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 216 2nd Ave. E, Jerome. Graveside service will conclude at Sunset Memorial Park, Twin Falls.
