Adelbert C Jones Sr.

Warren – Adelbert C. Jones Sr., 65, departed this life on Wednesday April 6, 2023, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital encircled by his wife and family. Adelbert, affectionately known as "Spud" was born March 2, 1958, in Warren, Ohio. He was the son of Charles Frazier and Anna Mary Stewart Jones. He attended Warren G. Harding High School and was a 1976 graduate. He was employed at Sharon Steel in Farrell, PA and was a laborer for local 935 in Warren, Ohio. Adelbert was a great visionary. His creative ability allowed him to create and be the master designer of Chosen One. The significance of his life exemplifies the structure of a builder renovating the old for something new. Adelbert attended Believers Church in Warren. He loved his family, friends, traveling and especially music. He also enjoyed driving and collecting "old school" cars. He promoted Car Events in Warren and was an avid attendant of Car Shows. Greater still, he never met a stranger. His love and kindness embraced the hearts of many. He was always impacting the lives of others with positive impressions. Regardless of the physical difficulties he dealt with, it did not stop him from living his life abundantly. He leaves to mourn his memories and celebrate his life; his beloved wife, Diane R. Jones, whom he married December 18, 1996; also his children; sons, Adelbert (AJ) Jones Jr. of Farrell PA, Maurice C. (Gina) Reid Sr. of San Antonio TX; daughters, Teressa E. Austin and Nitra (Jonas) Cunningham both of Warren, OH; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Carole Jones-Clark of Columbus, OH, Jeanette Daniels and Belinda Jones both of Warren, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Adelbert was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Robert L. Jones, Lowell Jones; and sister, Mary Lee (Sis) Jones. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Restoration Christian Fellowship Church, 760 Main Ave SW, Warren, OH 44483. Family and friends can call from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church. A committal will take place at Pineview Memorial Park. Masks are mandatory.
