Barbara DeVincent Obituary

Barbara J. DeVincent, 85 of Canfield died early Wednesday morning, June 12th at her residence. Barbara was born September 28, 1938 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gaca) Spin and was a lifelong area resident. 

She graduated from South High School and worked at the former IGA Grocery Store on Mahoning Ave. for 15 years, where she retired. Barbara was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling and had been a member of a bowling league. She was an avid reader and looked forward to going to the casinos and playing the slot machines. Barbara was often seen sitting on her back porch, enjoying a pepsi. Most important was spending time with family and watching her granddogs. 

Her husband, Charles DeVincent, whom she married June 23, 1962, died May 30, 2016. She leaves her daughter, Christine Paul of Canfield; two grandchildren, Robert Whippo, Jacklyn Paul and her siblings, Carol Peebles of Boardman and Robert (Judy) Spin of Canfield. Besides her parents and her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by a sister, Veronica Valley. 

Private serices will be at a later date.
