Carl Wollam Obituary

Carl A. Wollam, 89, of Cortland, OH passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Cortland Health Care Center. He was born April 8, 1935, in Cortland, OH, the son of the late Llewellyn Wollam and the late Harriett Welsh Wollam. On November 26, 1955, he married Gail H. Lundy. She preceded him in death on October 22, 2014. He was a graduate of Cortland High School and attended Capital University. Carl was employed as a design mechanical engineer at Gentek, formerly known as Alcan Aluminum and held 12 patents for Aluminum siding. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Carl was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and enjoyed learning and building computer devices. He is survived by his son, Michael J. (Dianna) Wollam of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Laura A. (Douglas) Inman of Cortland, OH and Susan L. (Jeff) Lewis of Morrow, OH; grandchildren, Ashlee, Kristee, Garrett, Carlee, Sharon, Richard, Alexis (Preston), Ashley (Paul), Michael (Lindsay), Emily (Caleb), Sydney (Mark), and Geoffrey; and sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lou Wollam and Robert Wollam; sister, Sally Parshall; and twin brother, Charles Wollam. No services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
