Youngstown - On August 20, 2024 we tragically lost Christian. His death was unexpected and shook our family to the core. He was a light in so many lives and always brought a smile to your face no matter what the situation was. His goofy, good-natured ways made him a magnet to people and so many people benefited from the joy of knowing him. Christian was a hard worker and never quit, always trying to go above and beyond to secure the future he always dreamed of. His drive to succeed was balanced out by his fun-loving ways. He was always ready to have a good time and always knew how to make others happy.
Christian leaves behind sister, Meadow Moretti,; close family, Star Shaffer (Austin Hays,) Bella Shaffer, Anna Watt (Cassandra Jarrell,) Rodney Phillips (Alyssa Greenwalt;) aunt Vicki Steinbeiser; uncle, Buster Shaffer; aunt, Dawn Shaffer; grandfather James Shaffer, grandfather, Vincent Moretti (Diane;) grandmother, Annette Martin, grandmother Patricia Moretti; cousin Haley Woods; and countless other aunts, uncles and cousins. He had many, many nieces and nephews that adored him and will forever miss “Uncle Christian” along with friends that undoubtedly became family, including “bonus parents,” Stacey and Jim Jarrell.”
Christian was preceded in death by his mother, Belinda Shaffer (Sep. 7, 1977-Oct. 16, 2022) and his father, Scottie Moretti (Feb. 28, 1969-Aug. 23, 2023). He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Marlene F. Shaffer (July 16, 1956-October 19, 2018).
Christian will forever be missed. His death was tragic and unnecessary and impacted so many lives. He left a hole in our lives that will never be filled.
