David Shaner Obituary
David Howard Shaner, 78, of Boardman, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 9, 2022. He was born to parents Jean Walker and Jay Shaner, on January 7, 1944, in Youngstown, Ohio.
Dave had a lifelong career in sheet metal and construction work as a proud member of The Sheet Metal Workers' (Local Union 33.) Once retired, he lived life "his way" on "his terms" and everyone else was just along for the ride!
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Cleveland Browns play (win or lose), listening to oldies, scratching lottery tickets, taking a good nap, Christmas time (especially the lights on the tree), and was known for his love of food. He was never one to turn down a good burger, a steak on the grill, a fish dinner, or some wings with an ice-cold beer.
Dave is survived by his son, Brian Shaner and wife Natalie of Warren, Ohio and daughter, Tiffany Lewis and husband Dominic of Youngstown, Ohio; three grandchildren, Taylor Shaner, Jordyn Lewis, and Ava Lewis, and his sister Judy Tangradi of Bazetta, Ohio. Besides his mother and father, he is preceded in death by sisters Jean Wilson and Linda Johnston.
Per our dad's request, he is being cremated and his ashes will be buried in his family plot alongside his mother, father, and sisters.
No services will be held – remember "his way" and "his terms."
If you would like to honor our dad's memory, take a close relative or friend out to lunch or dinner; chat a bit, put your cellphones down and visit, and last but not least – eat some good food and have a cold one!!
TO OUR DAD –
May you rest in peace.
Please know, that not a single day will go by that we don't think about you!
Until we meet again
WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS
"Miss you much"
~ Brian and Tiffany ~
