Debra R. LaVan, 66, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mrs. LaVan was born on March 15, 1959, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Donald and Marion (Knotts) Kilgore. She was a 1977 graduate of Hickory High School. A dedicated homemaker, Debra enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and watching NASCAR, cheering on the Earnhardts. Her husband, William "Bill" LaVan, whom she married on December 12, 2010, passed away on September 9, 2016. Together, they shared many great memories of trips to Benezette to visit the Pennsylvania elk. In addition to her parents and husband, Debra was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Kilgore. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. There will be a graveside service at a later date.
