Douglas Williams Obituary
Hubbard- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas E. Williams, of Hubbard, OH, who departed this life on April 9, 2025, at his residence. Born on November 1, 1946, in the small town of Cheraw, SC, Doug was the beloved son of the late Levi and Parthenia Williams. He was the last survivor of eight siblings, leaving behind countless memories of joy, laughter, and love.
Doug's journey through life was shaped by hard work and perseverance. After completing his education in the Cheraw School System, he moved to Hubbard, OH, where he dedicated himself to his family and career. He found fulfillment in his role as a Casting Operator in the steel industry, contributing his skills to various establishments, including Tiffany Manor, Brookfield, OH, Radison Hotel, West Middlesex, PA, and Sharon Steel, Farrell, PA.
In his later years, Doug found solace in his faith and became an active member of the Second Baptist Church in Farrell PA. His spiritual journey brought him peace and a sense of community that enriched his life.
A true car enthusiast, Doug had a passion for speed and was a celebrated drag racer at Sunset Drag Strip in Mercer, PA, where he proudly accumulated several trophies. His love for cars was evident in his collection of Lincoln Mark Series I-V, and he could often be found reminiscing about his racing days with his close friends, Eddie Jones and Tommy Buchanan. Doug loved hues of blue, reflecting the calm and serene spirit he offered to those fortunate enough to know him. Additionally, it was an established fact that Doug enjoyed watching football, especially when his beloved Tennessee Titans were on the gridiron.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by his children: Drew Williams, Marc Williams, Tiffany Williams, and Juanita Williams (Brittany) all of Hubbard, OH, and his son Terrall Edward (Terry) Hughley of Belize, Mexico. Doug was a proud grandfather to Taleah, Jahiyl, Jorjia, and Justin, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by his sister, JoAnn Julye, and former spouse, Mary Johnson Williams, along with two sisters-in-law, Joyce Williams and Frances Williams, and a cadre of caring cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who adored him.
