Dylan James Puz, of Niles OH, passed away in a tragic car accident on April 19th, 2024, in Brackettville TX. The District Manager was on a work assignment when he lost his life at 23 years old.
Dylan was born in Youngstown on July 16th, 2000, to Amy (Sherk) Cuthbert and David Puz. He graduated from Girard Jr./Sr. High school in 2019. During his high school years Dylan was avid bowler, who was on the varsity team, and helped take his team to the State Finals in his senior year.
In the years after high school, Dylan made a career at WIS International. He was hired as an entry level associate in August of 2018, where he proved his skill and was promoted to District Manager of the Toledo office in 2022. He was a well-respected manager, and incredibly loved by the people he came to also call his work family. He was passionate about his job and it became a perfect fit as he used long drives to listen to podcasts, audio books and music. Some of his favorites include the book series "Arc of a Scythe"; the podcasts "Dungeons and Daddies" and "Serial"; and music artists such as Boywithuke and AJR.
Dylan also had a deep interest in technology, spending much of his time learning about the latest advances. From coding, building pcs, and repairing devices to video editing and playing video games, he was the one on the phone when his family and friends had a tech problem. When he wasn't doing that, you could often find him at his desk playing World of Warcraft with beloved friends he met through the game or watching his favorite Youtubers such as Asmongold and Phillip Defranco.
Dylan is survived by his parents, Amy (Sandor) Cuthbert and David (Heather) Puz; his grandparents, Ginny and Dick Puz, Gail Sherk-Godfrey, and Greg and Cindy Burk; siblings, Anastasia (Nick Thomas) Puz, Jamie Case, Matthew (Jamie) Lester, John Lester Jr. and Jeffery (Jenna) Birkmire; nieces and nephews Trae, Dorrian, Jonathan, TreSigh, Daniel, Rylee, Maiya, Rowan, Lila, Blake and Cole; and many friends. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Richard Sherk.
The most kind and gentle soul, he will be incredibly missed by all who knew him. For those who wish to pay their respects, calling hours will be from 1pm-3pm, Saturday, April 27, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 3pm, at William Nicholas Funeral Home, 614 Warren Ave., Niles, OH 44446.
