Edward Wolford Obituary

Edward Wolford, 88, of Southington, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at University Hospital of Cleveland. He was born September 29, 1936, in Harman, WV, the son of the late Aaron Branson and the late Evelyn Tessie (White) Wolford. Edward retired as a shift supervisor from Ohio Edison Company after over 25 years. He formerly attended Leavittsburg Church of God. Edward was an avid outdoors person, enjoyed gardening, restored several antique tractors and a 1931 Model A pick-up, spent summers at a family farm in West Virginia, loved steam engines, and tractor shows. He was a veteran of the United States Navy Reserves. He is survived by his sons, Theron K. Wolford of Ravenna, OH and Dennis E. (Leslie) Wolford of Southington, OH; sister, Imogene Ratcliffe of Harrisonburg, VA; brother, Billy Wolford of Petersburg, WV; grandchildren, Marena (Cole) O'Dell, Auburne (Corey) McConaughey and Logan (Collin) Dales; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Lainey McConaughey with two on-the-way. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Anne Wolford; and brothers, John and Jim Wolford. Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Meadow Brook Memorial Park, Warren, OH. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
