Fred Scocchera Obituary

Fred J. Scocchera, 71, of Neshannock Twp., passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, August 7, 2025, following heart-related complications. Mr. Scocchera was born on Christmas Day, 1953, in New Castle, a son of the late Louis and Allene (Agnew) Scocchera. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Neshannock High School. Fred retired as Vice President of Sales from Nordson Corp., New Castle, where he began as a sales manager in 1985. He had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and found peace in the outdoors. A lover of music, Fred was a talented guitarist. Fred loved to go fast, which was evident in his lifelong passion for racing, sports cars, and motorcycles. Fred is survived by two sons, Jason Scocchera (Stephanie), of Wellington, FL, and Eric Scocchera, of Glastonbury, CT; a daughter, Angela Scocchera, of Orlando, FL; and a grandson, Sawyer Scocchera. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Scocchera and Jean Davis. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no viewing and a funeral service will be held privately amongst family. Interment will follow in Castleview Memorial Gardens, Neshannock Twp. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle
