Gary Kay Obituary
Gary C. Kay, 69, of Liberty Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Caprice Health Care Center, surrounded by his family. Gary was born June 19, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Charles S. and Mary (Cartwright) Kay.
Gary was a self employed owner and operator of Gary's Heating and Air Conditioning for 50 years. He was a member of St. Rose Church, and Trumbull Heating and Air Conditioning Association (THAA). He enjoyed playing golf, he was a longtime coach/administrator of the Liberty Township Baseball Association, and loved spending time with his granddaughters, Ava and Leah, whom he adored.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years, Peggy (Kilgore) Kay, whom he married November 29, 1975; his son, C.J. (Kim) Kay; and daughter Christine (Jason) Emerick; Sister, Cindy (Chris) Carney; brothers, Jeffrey (Arlene) Kay and Ronald Kay; granddaughters, Ava and Leah; and his cousin who worked with Gary for over 25 years, Jimmy (Denise) Kirlik and several nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 13th, 10:00 AM at St. Rose Church. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Gary will be laid to rest at Churchill Cemetery.
