James Hassage Obituary

James A. Hassage, age 84 of Brookfield Township passed away on Saturday April 19, 2025. James was born November 15, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio a son of Andrew & Josephine Gallas Hassage. He was a 1958 graduate of Brookfield High School. For 30 years he was a line worker at General Motors Lordstown retiring in 2000. He was a member of Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church. James was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War, was a member of Hubbard VFW Post 3767, and a life member of the NRA. His wife the former Judith A. Hapcic whom he married March 24, 1973 passed away February 16, 1998. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a Memorial Mass at 11 AM on Saturday June 14, 2025 with calling hours prior to the Mass from 10-11 AM at Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church. James will be laid to rest at Todd Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown. Memorial contributions may be made to Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center 1044 Belmont Avenue Youngstown, Ohio 44501. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
