James Newell Obituary

James Newell Sr. Obituary James Paul Newell Sr., 66, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 4, 2024 at the residence from a heart ailment. He was born in Warren, Ohio on January 20, 1958 the son of William R. and Florence (Ladd) Newell Sr. and lived in this area all his life. James dearly loved his family and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He frequently took long bicycle rides, enjoyed going fishing and gardening. James had many friends and was happy to lend a helping hand when they asked him. He attended the local schools and worked as an attendant for several car washes where he became known as a perfectionist. He will be missed by many, especially his brother Joe and sister-in-law Esther who were his caregivers and treated him like their son. James is survived by three children; James P. Newell Jr., Florence, and Melissa. He also is survived by five sisters and three brothers; Billy (Patty) Newell of Girard, Joyce Craven of Warren, Susie Schulte of Hubbard, Roxanne (Everett) Campbell of Bluford, Illinois, Carol (Tom) Heitman of Warren, William Newell of Florida, Joseph (Esther) Newell of Cortland, Martha Ashburn of South Carolina, and many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debbie Bokan. At his request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
