Janet Antwon Hasley Obituary

Obituary For Janet Daina Antwon Hasley In loving memory of Janet Daina Antwon Hasley, a woman of strength, love, and unwavering faith, who bravely passed into the realm of eternity on November 5, 2024, after a short illness in Akron OH. Janet was born on December 31, 1972, in Youngstown, Ohio to Victoria Hendrix and Robert Craft, gracing this world with her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter. An outgoing and extroverted soul, Janet was known for her self-confidence and nurturing nature. Her passion for interior decorating, poetry, caring for plants and retro TV shows like Little House on the Prairie, What's Happening? and Sanford and Son revealed her passion. A true fashionista at heart, Janet had a penchant for striking a pose and capturing every moment in style. Far from camera shy, she was always ready to have her photogenic essence captured. Her unwavering faith in God was the cornerstone of her life, never hesitant to express her devotion and love for the Divine. She would frequently say aloud, "You know that I don't play about my God!" Her appreciation for the genre of gospel music and its messages resonated in her life. She was very authentic in her interaction with others yet had zero tolerance for foolishness. Her craziness and zaniness reflected her zest for life. Janet's love for her family, her craftiness, and unique personality endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She enjoyed walks in the park as well as opportunities to gather and play a hand of Uno or spades. Janet, a proud mother, loving daughter, supportive sister, and doting grandmother, cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her beloved mother and children Nautica Foster, Sierra Foster, Sidney Hasley, Marshayla Hasley, Keyasha Hasley, Devin Hasley, and Lovely Hasley, as well as her greatly loved and adored grandchildren Treyauna, Zauriauna, and Delauni, Cortez, Romello, Chase and Dvinchi she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unbreakable bonds. Full of love and affection, Janet will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings Angela Edwards and Willie Hendrix, along with a massive score of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. As she assumes her place among the ancestors, Janet was embraced by her father Robert and other elders of the family who preceded her into eternity. As the services draw near, let us gather to commemorate a phenomenal woman who brought love, laughter, and joy to all. In her passing, Janet leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unwavering faith in God. May her spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew and treasured her The community is invited to honor Janet's remarkable life at the chapel of the J. E. Washington Funeral Home, 2234 Glenwood Ave, with calling hours at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am with Pastor Kevin M. Carson serving as the celebrant. In our hearts, Janet will forever remain a beacon of love, compassion, and strength. May her spirit watch over us and guide us as we navigate life without her physical presence. Rest in peace, dear Janet, for your legacy of joy and faith will forever shine bright in our hearts.
