Jason Cox Obituary

RATON, NEW MEXICO - Jason Cox, 45, formerly of Youngstown, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 20, 2025, due to injuries sustained from a tragic automobile accident. Jason was born August 17, 1979, in Youngstown, a son of Paulette Pagac and Robert Cox. He had a passion for working on cars and enjoyed building and painting model cars in his free time. Jason also loved playing guitar and video games, hobbies that brought him joy and allowed him to express his creativity. He leaves behind his daughters, Autumn (Austin) Householder and Hailey Cox both of Austintown; his mother, Paulette Reid (Robert Flamisch) of Austintown; his father, Robert (Cathy) Cox of Canfield; his sister, Melissa Cox, of Boardman; a niece, Meganne Rovnyak of Liberty Township, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jason's longtime partner and love of his life, Sheila Derr, also passed away in the same accident. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Mary Pagac and Billy and Harriet Cox; his uncle, Paul Pagac; and his nephew, Dominic Rovnyak. There are no calling hours or services at this time. The family will hold a private celebration of Jason's life at a later date.
