Warren – John “Jack” Hackett, 80, departed this life to reside with his heavenly father on May 24, 2024.
Jack was born on Thursday March 9, 1944 a son of the late Charles and Dorothy Hackett.
He was a 1963 graduate of Warren Harding High School. Jack retired in 2006 as a car hauler for Cassens Transport and said it was the greatest job ever.
Jack had a love for motorcycles and was proud of buying his first Harley at the age of 14 years old with the money he earned from delivering papers, and that love continued for the rest of his life. Jack had many riding buddies but always cherished the times he rode with his brother-in-law Tim. He was a club guy, belonging to the Moose Lodge 186, VFW 3332, Eagles 1476, Army & Navy, and the Slovak Club where he was honored to be President of the retirees for many years.
Jack will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 29 years, Lettie Hackett; sons, Erik (Joanie) of Prescott, AZ, and Alec of New Hampshire; daughter, Jackie of Mt. Vernon; grandsons, Wyatt and Walker; granddaughters, Miranda and Alaina; sisters, Judy Lampkin and Millie Kennedy; brothers-in-law, Tim, Randy, Donnie, Roland, and Bobby; sisters-in-law, Linda, Chrissy, and Sanya; step-children, April Walker, David (Erica) Aston, and Randy (Jona) Enasko; and many nieces and nephews. Jack also had a special place in his heart for his great niece Liliana and his favorite drinking buddy Walt.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn and Lucille, and his stepson, Ike.
