Kenneth Fagnano Obituary
On Friday, July 21, 2023, Kenneth Frank Fagnano, age 67, of Youngstown, OH passed away unexpectedly at home. He was born in Youngstown on August 20, 1955, to Frank and Anna (Battista) Fagnano.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife, Marlene (DiMichaelangelo) Fagnano; sons, Nicholas (Kortney Canter) Fagnano, Angelo (Shelly) Fagnano, grandchildren, Clementine Fagnano, Leo Fagnano, Vincent Fagnano all of Columbus; sisters, Olympia (the late Anthony) Santangelo, Carlotta (the late Robert) Kane both of Poland, Mary (John) Sylvester of Boardman; mother-in-law, Clara Ferrara of Youngstown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Diane (Stephen) Carlomagno of Vienna, Pamela DiMichaelangelo, Laury (Annette) DiMichaelangelo all of Westerville and many nieces and nephews.
Ken is proceeded in death by his father, Frank Fagnano; his mother, Anna Battista-Fagnano; his son, Frank, his father-in-law, John DiMichaelangelo; and his brother-in-law, Robert Kane, and Anthony Santangelo.
Kenneth was born in Youngstown and grew up in the Briar Hill neighborhood. He attended both Ursuline High School and The Rayen School, where he graduated in 1973. Ken was an avid music lover, local musician and founder of the local band, Vegas, where he was an extraordinary drummer. He met his wife here in Youngstown and raised his three boys here as well. Kenneth was the owner of Uptown Gems and Jewels in Warren, from which he retired in 2018. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed spending time fishing, boating, RV camping, and spending a lot of time with his family. Ken has also been working part time at Giant Eagle in Howland, where he thoroughly enjoyed his time as a greeter.
Ken's family meant everything to him, and he was so extremely proud of all his sons. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, husband, brother, and uncle who will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. Kenneth lived his life by the motto, La familia è tutto.
