Lois Elaine Currington

Lois E. Currington "Cookie", 83, of Warren Ohio was born to Albert and Doris Prentice on January 7, 1942. She peacefully passed away on March 29, 2025. Cookie was a woman full of love for her family and friends. She was a loyal mother, wife, grandmother, aunt,cousin and friend. The love she had for her husband Jack, whom she married on May 6, 1961 was immeasurable. They shared their entire lives together and made a lifetime of beautiful memories. Cookie will be missed by her children, Susan King, Todd (Stefanie) Currington and Julie (Brian) Gates; brother Ken (Patti) Prentice; sister & best friend Vonnie Peterson; sister and brother in law's, Bea Prentice, Kay & Dave Larson and Dave & Sandy Currington and her grandchildren, Jackson, Jax (Taylor), Andie and Kelsi. She was dearly loved by her nieces and nephews. Cookie shared a special bond with her niece Jill, who helped care for her in recent years. She had a giving nature, loved holidays and birthdays where she could watch her family and friends open her thoughtfully chosen gifts. In her younger years, Cookie was a good racquetball volleyball and ping-pong player. She loved to golf with Jack. She also loved trips to farmers markets, Sam's Club, and going out to eat. She loved anything that sparkled, especially her kaleidoscopes and sun catchers. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was their biggest cheerleader showing up at every sporting event, graduation and birthday party. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Jackson C. Currington; son, John C Currington; brother, Les Prentice and son-in-law Donald King. Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 1PM to 3 PM at the Carl W Hall funeral home with memorial service to immediately follow.
